a trip to remember

CHICAGO, ill. For our anniversary, Daniel had the brilliant idea to take me to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago! I LOVE penguins with a burning passion, so I was super pumped to see them in person. When we got there though, there was a line literally around the block. We were utterly confused so we asked around and turns out because it was Good Friday, school was cancelled. Apparently EVERY child in Chicago wanted to go to the Aquarium (and it was raining!). So, rather than waiting in a 3 hr line with whiny kids, we decided to explore the Windy City! Daniel had never been to the Bean so we visited and took pictures at Millenium Park, drank Jamba Juice and walked around. We shopped and ate the BEST bruschetta and deep dish pizza at Pizano's. YUM! After the long drive back he bought me orchids! Orchids are my favorite flower, I obnoxiously point them out whenever I see them anywhere. They currently sit smiling at me from my window sill.
